Mott Public Library Photo Scavenger Hunt 2015

      The Mott Public Library Photo Scavenger Hunt is inspired by Books of course. All you need to participate is your name and an email address (family entrants may share an email address, label photos accordingly) through which you will receive an invitation to the Mott Public Library Photo Scavenger Hunt Flickr Group. The images will be shared on the Mott Library facebook page. Prints may be made for display in the Mott Public Library with photo credit, category and book title inspiration. Please choose at least one title from each category to complete the Photo Scavenger Hunt. Let these book titles inspire you to have fun and be creative.

Photographs must have been taken by the entrant within the past year. Categories and rules are adapted from the ND State Fair book with Class and lot info. North Dakota State Fair Book has complete State Fair Rules.

Submit photos by November 30, 2015. December 2-11 People’s Choice Voting. Prize Winners will be notified on December 14, 2015. Cash prizes will be awarded in each category.


  • Scenes: A view, landscape, seascape, etc.
  • Portraits: Recognizable likeness of a person or persons.
  • Pure Nature: Wild flowers, wild animals, etc. Prints of stuffed animals, birds and museum sets will not be accepted. Nature subjects should not include the handiwork of man (roads, buildings, cultivated plants, domesticated animals, etc.)
  • Domestic Nature: Animals, pets and cultivated flowers.
  • Photojournalism: Picture that tells a story.
  • Still Life / Contemporary: An arrangement of inanimate objects or creative or imaginative departure from reality.
  • Miscellaneous: Must not fit in any other category.
